Is Roblox Cross-Platform?

By Blox Handbook•

Yes, Roblox is fully cross-platform. Players on computers, phones, tablets, Xbox, PlayStation and Meta Quest play in the same servers, and one Roblox account keeps your Robux, items and progress on every device.

Which platforms can play together?

Roblox runs on 5 kinds of device, and all of them share the same games:

  • Computers: Windows PCs and Macs.
  • Mobile: iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire tablets and Chromebooks.
  • Xbox: Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
  • PlayStation: PS4, and PS5 with a native version since April 2026.
  • VR: Meta Quest headsets.

Roblox is not on Nintendo Switch; see is Roblox on Nintendo Switch.

Does progress carry over between devices?

Yes. Your account, Robux, avatar and items are stored on Roblox’s servers, and games save progress to your account, not to a device. Log in with the same account on a new device and everything is there.

Are there any limits to cross-play?

A few:

  • Developers can limit devices. Some games are built for certain devices, such as VR-only games or games that need a keyboard.
  • Console settings apply. Xbox and PlayStation privacy and parental settings can restrict chat and joining others.
  • Some purchases are platform-specific. Robux bought on one platform work everywhere, but subscriptions are managed in the store where you bought them.

Can I play with a friend on another console?

Yes. An Xbox player and a PlayStation player can join the same game, as long as both accounts’ settings allow it and the game supports both devices.
