How to Make a Private Server on Roblox

By Blox Handbook•

You make a private server on Roblox from a game’s page: open the Servers tab, find Private Servers, and select Create Private Server. Only games whose creators turned the feature on offer private servers, and each creator sets the price, from free to a monthly fee in Robux.

How to create a private server

  1. Open the game’s page on roblox.com or in the Roblox app.
  2. Select the Servers tab.
  3. Under Private Servers, choose Create Private Server.
  4. Name the server and confirm the price.
  5. Join it from the same section whenever you want to play.

If there is no Private Servers section, the game’s creator has not enabled them.

How much does a private server cost?

The game’s creator decides. Many private servers cost a small monthly amount of Robux, and some games offer them free. Paid private servers renew every month until you cancel them from the server’s settings.

How to invite people to your private server

Open the server’s settings from the game’s Servers tab. From there you can:

  • Allow your connections to join.
  • Generate a join link to share with specific people.
  • Remove people or turn the server off.

Why can’t my friend join my private server?

When a friend is refused with error code 524, the server’s settings usually do not include them. Add them as allowed players or share a fresh join link.

Why use a private server?

A private server gives you a quiet copy of the game: no strangers, a place to practice, and a safe space for younger players to play only with people they know.
