How to Trade on Roblox (2026)
Trading on Roblox lets you swap limited items, and optionally some Robux, with another player through Roblox’s official Trade feature. You need a Roblox Plus or Roblox Premium subscription to trade, and every completed trade is final.
Who can trade on Roblox?
Trading has 3 requirements:
- A Roblox Plus or Premium subscription. Trading and reselling limited items is a subscriber feature.
- Tradable items. Only limited items, avatar items released in limited numbers, can be traded. Regular Marketplace items cannot.
- Trading allowed in both players’ settings. Check your privacy settings to control who can send you trades.
How to send a trade
- Open the profile of the player you want to trade with.
- Open the menu on their profile and choose Trade Items.
- Select the items you offer and the items you want in return.
- Add Robux to your side if you want to balance the deal.
- Review everything and send the offer.
How to manage your trades
Select Trade in the left menu on any Roblox page. From there you can switch between inbound, outbound, completed and inactive trades, and accept, decline or counter an offer you received.
Can a trade be reversed?
No. Once a trade is complete, Roblox will not reverse it, refund it, or return your items or Robux for any reason. Check every item and value before accepting.
How to trade safely
- Trade only through the official Trade feature.
- Never “go first” by sending items and trusting the other player to send theirs.
- Never trade for real money, accounts, or items in other games.
Roblox cannot return anything lost in deals made outside the official system.
Trading depends on your subscription; see how to cancel Roblox Premium or Plus before you cancel.
