How to Update Roblox on PC, Mac, Phone and Console

Roblox updates itself on most devices: on a computer it installs updates when you open it, and on phones and consoles it updates through the device’s app store. You only need to act when automatic updates are off or an update fails.

How to update Roblox on Windows and Mac

  1. Close every Roblox window.
  2. Open Roblox again, from roblox.com or the Roblox app.
  3. Let the updater finish before the game loads.

If you installed Roblox from the Microsoft Store, open the Store’s Library and select Get updates instead.

How to update Roblox on iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile picture.
  3. Find Roblox in the list of pending updates and tap Update.

How to update Roblox on Android and Chromebook

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for Roblox.
  3. Tap Update if the button is there.

How to update Roblox on Xbox and PlayStation

Consoles install game updates automatically while they are connected. If Roblox asks for an update, go to the game’s options in your library and check for updates manually.

What to do if Roblox won’t update

A stuck update usually has one of 3 fixes:

  1. Restart the device and try again.
  2. Uninstall Roblox and install it again; see how to uninstall Roblox.
  3. On Windows, clear the Roblox cache before reinstalling.
